Harassment

The University of Bristol acts to ensure acceptable behaviour at work.

The University will take steps to protect its staff from harassment and bullying, whether this arises from age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion/belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other grounds.

The University provides the Staff Counselling Service to support its staff as part of positiveworking@bristol. As the Service operates Monday to Friday between 09.00h and 17.00h it is accepted and understood that staff will attend during their working day. Managers recognise the value of their staff attending the service, and they will support their staff by releasing them to attend sessions during working hours, wherever possible.
