Applicants are usually expected to have GCSE Advanced Level Grades ABB (excluding General Studies) plus a grade C in GCSE (or equivalent ) Mathematics and English. A grade C pass in science is also desirable. Although we do not require a science or social science at Advanced Level, we will take into account evidence of an applicant’s potential to study psychology at university level. Other acceptable alternatives to A-level include vocational courses such as BTEC National Diploma in Childcare, or a CACHE Diploma. A high standard of achievement is expected in these vocational qualifications.
We welcome applications from mature candidates, Access Course students and those from non-traditional backgrounds. Again, we will expect evidence of suitability and capability for the programme.
