Financial bursary scheme

The School for Policy Studies is offering a number of financial bursaries to students applying for either the BSc in Social Policy (Single and Joint Honours) or the BSc in Childhood Studies. Bursaries of £500 will be awarded to selected Single Honours students and £250 for Joint Honours students. Students will be nominated on the basis of educational achievement, academic potential and a demonstrated commitment to their studies. If you are nominated for an award by the Admissions tutors, you will receive written notification. All successful nominees will receive confirmation of the bursary award by late September. Payment will be made once students have registered in October.

Laptop bursary scheme

The School has a number of laptop bursaries available for students applying to either the BSc in Social Policy (Single and Joint Honours) or the BSc in Childhood Studies. After your place has been confirmed in August, the Department will write to offer you the chance to apply to the scheme. Applications will be judged on a number of criteria, such as the student’s specified needs and the student’s demonstrated commitment to their degree study. All successful nominees will receive confirmation of the bursary award by late September. Successful students will receive their laptops once they have registered in October.
