I am studying MSc Social Work Research on a part time variable basis.

I work full time and have a young family, so time is somewhat stretched. Choosing the part time option has enabled me to fit study into my already busy lifestyle.

The way in which the programme is delivered also makes it easier to schedule around other commitments. I live close the to the University and can take full advantage of all the facilities including the extended opening hours in the Social Sciences library; enabling me to work in the evenings at a time which is convenient for me.

The lecturers on the programme are supportive and engaging and the ability to meet with unit convenors in person or through video link is helpful to my learning and experiences. I have found that the content of the course is pitched right for my learning needs and meets my expectations.

On completion of the programme, I aim to use my new skills to further develop policy in relation to children in care within the organisation I work.
