Evaluating the Phoenix Programme which helps participants understand and define domestic abuse.

Details

Summary

The Phoenix Programme (PP) is an intervention designed to empower women to make positive choices about their lives by providing information and support within a group context.  Service users are encouraged to recognise abusive and domineering behaviour from their partners and to recognise their own potential to enable them to move on.

This evaluation builds on recent research which examined similar programmes in the Bristol area.  By looking at the impact of different programmes, this research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Phoenix Programme and identify how it differs from other programmes.
