Summary

My research interests are: child safeguarding; child protection; social work with children and families; domestic violence and abuse; and parental substance misuse.

The focus of my PhD study is risk and protective factors for children living with parental substance misuse in relation to children’s social care and wellbeing outcomes. The research design is a retrospective longitudinal case note study, using multivariate statistical analysis to explore which factors or sets of interacting factors are associated with particular outcomes.

I am also a Research Associate on the ReProvide Workstream I (IRIS+). This is a training and support intervention for general practice to improve the response to children exposed to domestic violence and abuse (DVA) and men and women experiencing or perpetrating DVA
