Health And Social Care Integration In The New Policy Landscape
15 October 2012
Ailsa Cameron and Rachel Lart presented the results of a recent scoping review at a joint seminar of the Socialist Health Alliance and Social Policy Associations at York University on October 12, 2012.
This event brought together researchers and academics, policy commentators, and statutory and third sector providers of health and social care services in a timely and significant discussion of how integration between health and social care fit into the rapidly changing policy landscape .
The scoping review presented by Ailsa and Rachel will be considered the evidence base for joint working between health and social care services and concluded that while there is some indication that integrated services can deliver positive outcomes for people who use services and for carers, overall the evidence base remains less than compelling.
