Abuse in teenage relationships tackled with new campaign

Christine Barter, Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Family Policy and Child Welfare commented on an advertising campaign that has been launched by the Home Office to raise awareness of domestic violence in teenage relationships.

The campaign follows research by the NSPCC, which was led by Christine and was the first study in Great Britain to provide a detailed picture of the incidence and impact of teenage partner violence.

The campaign received extensive coverage and Christine was interviewed by Radio 5 live, Star and Jack FM, Heart FM, Totalpolitics.com,  and BBC news online.  Christine also took part in a live debate with representatives from South Africa and North America on BBC World Service.
