Launch of the Centre for Gender and Violence Research

Our new Research Centre for Gender and Violence Research will be launched on 20 January 2010. To celebrate the event the Centre will be hosting a conference showcasing two areas of the Centre's research, so-called honour-based violence, and understanding who does what to whom and where.

There has been a revolution in access to social rented housing in Britain. A system driven by the decisions of frontline housing staff appears to have been transformed. The core concept is facilitating choice for 'homeseekers'. How has this revolution occurred? Does it challenge hard-won and long-established policy objectives?
