Speaker: Professor Nigel Parton

Nigel Parton is NSPCC Professor in Applied Childhood Studies at the University of Huddersfield.  He initially trained in Bradford and worked as a social worker until 1976. He has been Professor in Child Care Studies at Keele University since returning to the University of Huddersfield.  He is author of more than 15 books and over 80 other publications.  Nigel is a leading international expert on children's services and child protection.
