Demi Patsios
Personal profile
Demi is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Research in Health and Social Care. He has maintained a primary interest in the effects of an ageing population on policy development and on the capacity of the health and social systems to respond to these needs. He has conducted research into the roles and responsibilities, interactions and linkages between the market, the state, the voluntary sector and informal sector in meeting the needs of older people. He is also member of the Townsend Centre for International Poverty Research and is examining the plight of poorer pensioners in the UK, Northern Ireland and Channel Isles.
