7 June 2012
The first ever ‘Going for Gold Games’ will take place at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex during the first week of the 2012 Olympics, 30th July – 3rd August.
This dynamic multi-sport camp will give every child from age 8 - 14 years the opportunity to try their hand at some of the sports being represented at the summer Olympics; they may even discover a hidden talent!
They will learn the rules and techniques to play some of the sports that will be taking place across the country during the Olympics, whilst developing their skills and having lots of fun along the way!
The children will be placed into teams each representing a country throughout the week. Complete with an awards ceremony, they will compete in each sport, led by qualified and enthusiastic staff. Children will accumulate points during each sport not only for their performance, but also for effort, teamwork and enthusiasm!
We’re committed to providing parents with complete peace of mind whilst giving children an unforgettable summer camp experience. Breakfast and Tea Clubs are available to give parents greater flexibility to fit around their working day.
This multi-sport activity week will give the children a great opportunity to feel part of the Olympic games, meet new friends, try out new sports, develop their confidence and, most importantly, have fun!
