Tom Mitchell (English & Philosophy) has been selected to play for British Universities in the World University Sevens Rugby Championship (21st to 24th July) in Porto, Portugal.Twelve players are selected from across all (over 200) British Universities for the squad.
Simon Hinks, Acting Director of Sport said "This is an outstanding achievement. Tom has had an excellent season for the University of Bristol and is fully deserving of his place. Sport,Exercise & Health staff are pleased that the work that they have done to support him and rugby in general has been rewarded by his selection. We believe that the additional strength and conditioning expertise provided by Dave Rowland and the excellent coaching provided by James Farndon and team has helped Tom realise his full potential."
