Culture and Consumption

Our expertise in the study of culture and consumption includes issues of class, food and music. Food is examined from perspectives of class, sociality, sustainability and gender. Making and valuing music is another key strand, including social network analysis of music production and consumption, taste and economic and technological imperatives in the music industry, music festivals, and racialisation.

Further opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration are provided by the Faculty Research Group on Cultural Work.
