The established reputation of the School’s research staff leads to requests by public and private bodies to provide expertise on specific topics and problems. We are committed to supporting such activities, where mutual benefits and learning occur from this form of public engagement.

Recent examples include Dr Katherine Charsley supplying expertise to the Home Office on migration, Professor Paul Statham designing a methodological tool for the European Social Survey, and Professor Harriet Bradley  providing sociological insights to confused.com.
