Our programmes are designed for students who have completed secondary education to a level equivalent to Year 13 in the UK with good academic grades. If your education system does not match this you may be required to take a one year Pathway or Foundation Programme. You can check to see if this applies to you by looking at our country-specific information pages.
Offers will take into consideration your normal school leaving qualifications as well as an assessment of your English language qualifications if English is not your first language.
To succeed in SPAIS programmes you will need to be able to study, communicate, and write in English. As an overseas student you may be required to provide evidence of your English language skills.
The Language Centre at the University of Bristol provides an extensive range of programmes in English as a Foreign Language. These include intensive English language training courses for general, professional and academic purposes from four weeks to nine months in length. Please contact our Language Centre for all information relating to the University's English Language programmes.
