Saffron Karlsen and Rosa Targett's report provides evidence for BCC policy groups

16 November 2022

Bristol City Council have recently published Rosa Targett and Saffron Karlsen's evaluation report of their Race Equality Covid-19 Steering Group

Bristol City Council have recently published Rosa Targett and Saffron Karlsen's evaluation of their Race Equality Covid-19 Steering Group (BREC19SG), the report provided an inclusive, empowering, evidence-based and multi-sectoral response to ethnic inequalities in pandemic experience. After a well-attended launch organised by the Mayor's Office on 31 October, the report is now available online here

This report documents the value of Bristol's responses to the pandemic, particularly for those in minoritised ethnic groups disproportionately hit by the pandemic and its consequences (including the background to the local responses to vaccine delivery which won an HSJ award in October). The report also provided the evidence which underpins the establishment of the new BCC Race and Health Equity Group, which was launched on Monday 14th November.
