Professional Skills Development at SPAIS featured as an example of best practices to improve the employability of graduates

A development between SPAIS and the Careers Advisory Service, Professional Skills Development, has been featured in Phoenix (the professional magazine of the UK's Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) as an example of best practices to improve the employability of graduates.  The unit, offered in the School since 2010-2011, focuses on the development of transferable skills and is available for both UG (final year) and PG students in TB2.  Upon completion, participants receive the SPAIS Bristol PLuS Award.

Jimena, a PG student that participated in 2011 said that "this is a very interesting and useful module.  In a very short time, you can reinforce and learn skills that are important to grow professionally, no matter the field you want to develop in.  It is great that the University offers this type of seminars where you are coached and taught about the abilities and skills that you are expected to have in a professional environment but that you hardly get throughout your academic formation".
