Lecture in memory of Professor Michael Costeloe

At the recent public lecture Professor Will Fowler gave an amazing, stimulating and entertaining overview of Professor Michael P. Costeloe's legacy in the historiography of nineteenth-century Mexico.

Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza, Mexican ambassador to the UK introduces the lectureProfessor Will Fowler's lecture “Rethinking nineteenth-century Mexico. Following in the steps of Prof. Michael P. Costeloe”provided an amazing, stimulating and entertaining overview of Professor Michael P. Costeloe's legacy in the historiography of nineteenth-century Mexico.

Over 80 students, staff, researchers, and former colleagues of Professor Costeloe enjoyed the lecture. Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza, Mexico's ambassador to the UK, described Professor Costeloe's legacy as 'wide-ranging, deep and of profound importance to understanding Mexico's contemporary affairs, as well as its history'.
