To register for a unit

All students must come in person to the School of Modern Languages  to register at the beginning of the academic year.

Please note: If you are a native Mandarin Chinese speaker you are not permitted to study Mandarin Chinese at the School of Modern Languages

Open units in Mandarin Chinese

Units are offered as open units to students from all faculties.

However, the School of Modern Languages no longer accepts non-credit students - a language unit must be part of a 120-credit point programme of study.

 

Ab initio unit

Pre-requisites: No previous experience in Mandarin necessary, but minimum of GCSE Grade C in another language is desirable.

Runs in Weeks 2-24.
