Since 1994 the Language Centre has been offering Italian for General and Specific Purposes to undergraduate students from all Faculties across the University. Italian is offered to students either as part of the Study in Continental Europe programme or as an Open Unit at Ab-Initio or Post GSCE levels. Units are currently on offer to students from Engineering, Science, Social Science, Medicine and Dentistry.
Our small team of Italian teachers are highly motivated and work closely together to create challenging and interesting resources for all students. All staff are native speakers and experienced in teaching Italian as a foreign language. Please note: If you are a native Italian speaker you are not permitted to study Italian at the Language Centre.
This web site is designed to provide you with all the information you need regarding the Italian courses available at the Language Centre as well as anything else you would like to discover about Italy.
Remember to check the site regularly as the links are constantly updated!
If you are interested in studying Italian either as an Open Unit or on the Study in Continental Europe programme, details of Registration for 2011-2012 are now available.
If you want to study independently or if you need to do some research for your Italian class, the links on the resources page should help you.
A presto!
