Welcome to the Research Development web pages. The Research Development Team works with academics to support research in a variety of ways.

• Research Funding The team provides expert advice and assistance for obtaining external funding for research. The team also acts as a contact point for funding agencies and partners and has a detailed knowledge of a wide range of funding issues.

• European and Overseas Research Funding The team provides advice on a range of European and overseas opportunities, in particular Framework Programme 7 (FP7), and offers guidance throughout the application process.

• Current and Future Calls The team provides information and guidance on current funding opportunities (UOB access only).

• Funding Intelligence Further information about funding policy, potential future funding opportunities and indicators of success for particular schemes (UOB access only).

• Events The team facilitates workshops, seminars and other events to enhance the University's capacity to respond to funding opportunities.

• Major Bids The team coordinates the University's process for managing the internal selection, development and submission of major bids. A list of calls for proposals which currently fall within the process is available here (UOB access only).

• Changes to Funder Policy  Recent changes to funder policies relating to research funding
