Sharing-Places.com 2006 Student Competition

Over the summer are you:

· Going somewhere interesting?

· Doing something exciting?

· Looking at places in a unique way?

To be in with the chance to win up to £4,000 in prizes (including a top prize of £1,000) students are invited to enter the Mista Holiday Competition by sharing holiday photos and stories on the interactive mapping software.  The competition is open to students, employees, or recent graduates in the Bristol area. 

Cash prizes can be won in the following categories:

· £750 for the best water-related trail (sailing, canoeing etc)
· £750 for the best overseas trail
· £750 for the best Bristol-based trail
· £750 for the best UK-based trail
· £1,000 for the best overall trail

Mista Ltd is a University of Bristol spin out company leading the way in innovative and cutting edge web applications.

Rules

1. The closing date for the competition is 12:00 on 1st October 2006.
2. The trails must be created on the Sharing-Places.com site before the closing date.
3. You should enter the competition as soon as possible and in any event before the closing date.
4. Entry is by e-mail to student-comp@sharing -places.com and should include the following information:
- your full name
- the academic institution you are connected with
- the nature of your connection with the institution (student, employee etc.)
- your Sharing Places login name
- link(s) to the trail(s) you wish to submit
5. Judging will be done by two people from Mista Ltd and two people from the University of Bristol.
6. Judging will be completed by the end of October 2006.
7. The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence regarding the judges’ decision will be entered to.
8. All awards will be by cheque in sterling drawn on a UK bank.
9. Employees of Mista Ltd and close family members are not eligible to enter this competition.
10. You must respect the sharing-places Terms of Use, and in particular you must not make use of any images you include in your trails for this competition.
11. There is no limit on the number of trails you may enter.
12. Your trails and your name may be used in publicity for this competition.
13. In the event of limited numbers of entries or of entries of insufficient quality, Mista Ltd reserve the right to not award any particular prize or prizes.

Winners

1. Winners will be notified by e-mail before 15th November 2006.
2. A list of winners will be published on the sharing-places.com website on 15th November 2006.
