Think Small - nanotechnology and optical quantum computing

Tuesday 20 April 2010, 18:00 - 21:00
NSQI Building, University of Bristol, Tyndall Avenue, Bristol

Speaker(s):

You are invited to visit one of the quietest buildings in the world, Bristol University's NSQI (Centre for Nanoscience and Quantum Information), to learn about the science of the very, very small.

Nanotechnology is the study of the control of matter on an atomic and molecular scale.  It offers the potential for dramatic advances across a wide range of technical disciplines.

Our panel of speakers discuss current nanotechnology research at the NSQI and also at UWE and the University of Bath, in the fields of optical computing, microelectronics, bio-sensing and green energy - and offer exciting glimpses of where this research might lead to.

This event, which includes a buffet meal and drinks, is free to BEN members and guests.  If you are not a member and would like to be kept informed of future BEN events join now for free.

This event is kindly sponsored by Nanotechnology KTN
