Why attend the Conference?

The HERDA-SW Conference 2008 is the principal networking event for those with an interest in Higher Education and its role in supporting the region.  This year the conference is being organised in partnership with SWRDA, GOSW, SW RSP and HEFCE.   We are also pleased to confirm that this year's drinks reception has been kindly sponsored by the South West Science & Industry Council

This year's event will focus on the future role of HE and will be addressing key issues for the South West in its development, and the role HE plays in society, the region and the wider environment.  Topics will encompass enhancing regional partnership through connecting people, and engaging employers in the range of activity undertaken by Higher Education, for example, in research & development, knowledge exchange and innovation, workforce development and lifelong learning, links with the community and corporate social responsibility. Delivery of the conference outcomes will be spearheaded by the region's Vice Chancellors, the Higher Education Funding Council for England, SWRDA and Government Office.

How do I register?
