South West Rural Update - an information network about rural issues and challenges
First seminar: Waste Management in the Rural Sector - from Legislation to Solution
Friday 23 November 2007, 09:30 - 16:00
Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester
Speaker(s): Simon King – Chair of National Rural SW Region, and others
SW Rural Update is a new learning network extending across the south west of England. It is a service provided by universities and colleges in support of businesses and professionals with an interest in topics relating to rural development. Current examples include wastes management, various forms of renewable energy and localising of food chains.
We hope that the network will be of direct interest to rural businesses, consultants, advisors, local authorities, public agencies and the voluntary sector, as well as academic lecturers and researchers.
Members of the network will be invited to regular one-day seminars on a range of topics. The seminars will include contributions from leading academics in the field, professional practitioners and projects and initiatives with relevant practical experience. Each event will ensure that there is also plenty of opportunity for networking with others in the region.
What you need to do to register your interest
If you would like to hear more about the network and to receive notification of future events, you can register on-line on http://swrg.nationalrural.org/ or email srabbich@nationalrural.org requesting information and we will send you a registration form.
