South West RDA legacy

Between 1999 and 2011, the South West Regional Development Agency (SWDRA), a non-Departmental public body, was charged with leading the economic development of South West England.

As part of its desire to ensure the region's economy is best positioned for future growth, SWDRA have undertaken a significant piece of work to capture its legacy.

SWDRA have produced four documents (see links above) as part of this legacy activity drawing on colleagues' professional experience, and its corporate research library, evaluating reports and a range of other published material. This will provide successor bodies and other organisations with access to the wide range and depth of tacit and other knowledge that has been developed as a result of 13 years of economic development work for the region.
