Inspire young people to learn about and consider careers in science, technology, engineering and maths. You need to commit to visiting at least one school visit per year.

Teacher Professional Development - Science Learning Centres

Dates: ongoing
The national network of Science Learning Centres deliver continuing professional development for primary and secondary school teachers across all STEM subjects.  The Science Learning Centre Southwest is based in Bristol, and opportunities to work with them include: taking part in SLC-designed courses either informally (e.g. short presentation to teachers; chatting over lunch) or involvement in planning and delivery of the course; delivering standalone courses on topics relevant to your research; taking part in the Festival of Contemporary Science which communicates cutting-edge research to teachers (January 2011)
