TARG members attend BAP
The British Association of Psychopharmacology held their summer meeting in Bristol earlier this week with Marcus Munafo acting as meeting secretary. Marcus chaired a joint symposium between BAP and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), which served to raise awareness in the research taking part in each organisation and open opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, Marcus spoke in a symposium on e-cigarettes about harm reduction and cessation. Multiple TARG Post-docs, PhDs, and masters students had current research on display including Amy Taylor, Olivia Maynard, David Troy, Kayleigh Easey, Alex Kwong, and Meg Fluharty. Olivia Maynard was awarded a BAP President’s poster prize for her poster ‘Neural correlates of cigarette health warner avoidance among smokers.’ Additionally, Suzi Gage, David Troy and Michael Dalili blogged each session throughout the conference, which can be read here: http://www.bap.org.uk/.
