Sally Adams visits the Home Office
29 August 2013
TARG Research Collaborator, Sally Adams recently attended a meeting at the Home Office regarding the Government’s proposal on the sale of alcohol at motorway service areas (MSAs).
Sally represented the science community at the meeting attended by traders, licensing officials and the police force. She discussed research on the effects of alcohol on driving performance, the role of cue-reactivity to alcohol-related cues in triggering craving and alcohol use and problems around the increased availability of alcohol.
Sally’s input was well received and she will be providing the Home Office with supporting evidence of the areas discussed.
