5 April 2019
Dr Olivia Maynard is one of 21 new Economic and Social Research Council Strategic Advisory Network members.
On the 1st April 2019, Dr Olivia Maynard became one of the 21 new Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Strategic Advisory Network members.
The ESRC is part of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), a new organisation that brings together the UK's seven research councils to maximise the contribution of each council and create the best environment for research and innovation to grow.
The ESRC is the UK's largest organisation for funding research on economic and social issues. They support independent, high quality research that has an impact on business, the public sector and civil society.
The Network provides:
- Detailed expert support and advice including on the design of strategies and schemes, investment management and interventions
- A broad perspective of advice on issues, proposals and decisions inclusive of feedback on views within their various stakeholder groups
- Access to academic and user experts to whom the office can turn to for ad-hoc advice, to test new ideas and advise on policy
As a school we feel that Olivia's place on this board is very well deserved and is a fantastic achievement.
