Dave Turk takes the Brain Box challenge to Japan
23 August 2016
Dr Dave Turk has recently returned from a three week trip to Japan where he visited a primary school in Tokyo and two high schools in Shibetu town on Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. In collaboration with Professor Fumihiko Itagaki from Asia Univerity in Tokyo, Dave invited pupils and their parents to come in during the school holidays to experience the Brain Box Challenge.
The challenge allows pupils to learn what their brain looks like, how scientists study it, how it might differ from other animals and how it gives rise to our behavior. Over 140 children took part in the challenge and the event was also covered by the Hokkaido newspaper.
