IDEA User Group Conference

IDEA User Group Conference took place on 4th - 5th June 2014 and welcomed 56 delegates from academic institutions and industrial partners from around the world.
The biennial IDEA MRI user conference was jointly hosted by the University of Bristol and Siemens Healthcare at Aldwick court farm on the 4th - 5th June 2014. Chaired and largely organised by Professor Risto Kauppinen, the meeting was attended by 56 delegates from academic institutions and industrial partners from Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA.
The objectives of the conference were to:
- Provide a forum for representatives from various user groups to present and discuss problems encountered while utilizing the IDEA development environment along with unique and innovative solutions;
- Provide information about new and planned features of IDEA along with hands-on sessions;
- Strengthen the IDEA community while getting to know other IDEA users and provide a platform for closer collaboration between different IDEA user groups in the future.
The 2 day event included lectures from delegates around the world and demonstrated the schools commitment to, and role in, multi-disciplinary MRI research at a global level. The conference was deemed to be a great success, many thanks go to Risto and to Siemens Healthcare.
