A study by Marcus Munafo, Kate Button and colleagues on the low statistical power of neuroscience studies, which was published in the May issue of Nature Reviews Neuroscience, has featured in both New Scientist and The Economist. The articles, which are the cover story in both magazines with accompanying editorials, discuss problems of the poor reproducibility of many scientific findings, and the role that low statistical power plays in this.
