Dr Kit Pleydell-Pearce wins Dean's Award for Education

18 June 2013

The Judging Panel felt the strength of Kit's nominations, their range and warmth evidenced an exceptional contribution to education.

Six awards (one per faculty) were made to a member of academic, support or technical staff within the faculties who met the criteria to:
  • demonstrate excellence in enhancement of the student learning experience;
  • influence the support of education within, or external to, the institution;
  • and / or contribute to initiatives at the University level to facilitate the provision of support for students.

The Judging Panel were overwhelmed by the strength of the nominations, their range and warmth. They felt that this evidenced an exceptional contribution to education. One colleague commented "Kit's contribution to the scholarship of teaching and learning has been exceptional. He has developed new programmes and new units in the field, he has embraced working in partnership with the Bristol hospitals, and has now turned his attention to the use of technology-enhanced learning. Many cohorts of students and clinicians have already benefited from Kit's knowledge, expertise and passion for neuropsychology, and many more around the world will do so in the future".
