Bristol TAP is GO!!!!

A joint team from the Schools of Experimental Psychology (Martin Groen, Chris Kent and Jan Noyes) and Engineering Mathematics (Jonathan Rossiter) have secured EPSRC funding to launch a new, multi-disciplinary research group exploring Tactile and Action Perception - Bristol TAP.

The TAP group will use a variety of experimental approaches to develop a detailed understanding of the way we perceive and use tactile information. This knowledge will feed into the design and engineering of a range of applications including assistive technologies for people with visual impairments, clinical tools for alleviating chronic pain syndrome, and advanced human computer interaction solutions for combating sensory overload.
