Research Interests
The aetiology of common mental disorders, in particular psychosocial factors associated with anxiety and depression. Social, demographic, and economic inequalities and their link to the mental health of the population with special emphasis on international comparisons. Effective treatments for common mental disorders, in particular simple interventions using non-medical workers and strong community participation.
