Dr Amos is currently a senior lecturer in forensic psychiatry at the University of Bristol and a consultant forensic psychiatrist at Fromeside Clinic, the medium secure unit in Bristol.
Prior to this appointment, Dr Amos spent four years working on the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Homicide by People with Mental Illness, with Professor Louis Appleby, who is now the National Director for Mental Health.
Research Interests
Dr Amos is involved in a number of research areas, including homicide and violence linked to mental illness, suicide and self-harm, and risk assessment and management.
