Date and Time: Thursday 27th January 2022, 4-5pm

Further details and registration: https://bristol-ac-uk.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJMld-uvrz0pGdQ7KYmwM-MDbRv1BkXRR6pW

Description: This event is for anyone with an interest in research on eating disorders and self-harm who would like to hear about our research and help shape future plans.

In this event we will share some of our recent research findings based on work we have been doing using the Children of the 90s study (also known as ALSPAC – the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children). We will present our work describing how often disordered eating and self-harm occur together, and our findings about how difficulties regulating emotions during childhood may be linked to later disordered eating and self-harm in adolescence. We will then ask attendees to join break-out rooms where we hope to give everyone the opportunity to share their thoughts on our findings and possible next steps.

Please feel free to share these details with healthcare professionals, academics, voluntary sector workers, those with lived experience and their friends, family and partners, as well as any other individuals with an interest in eating disorders and self-harm. We would love to see as many of you there as possible.
