阿部　彩

1945年生まれ。マサチューセッツ工科大学卒業、タフツ大学フレッチャー法律外交大学院修士号・博士号取得。現在、国立社会保障・人口問題研究所社会保障応用分析研究部部長に就任。専門分野は、貧困・社会排除、公的扶助論、社会保障論。日本の貧困・不平等問題、特に子供の貧困問題に関する重要な研究者。『生活保護の経済分析』（共著）（東京大学出版会、2008年）で日経・経済図書文化賞、2009年度エイボン女性大賞を受賞。厚生労働省社会保障審議会臨時委員（生活保護基準部会）、内閣府男女共同参画会議専門委員、内閣府官房社会的包摂推進室企画官などを務める。国際連合社会開発研究所の国際比較研究プロジェクト「ケアの政治社会経済」（2006-2009）日本研究チームのメンバー。「社会保障実態調査」、「貧困・格差の実態と貧困対策の効果に関する研究（厚生労働科学研究）」、「社会サービスにおけるナショナルミニマムのいり方に関する研究」等の研究プロジェクトに参加。
