School of Physics visit days are designed for potential applicants to come and find out how our School works and what it would be like to study with us. Applicants who are likely to be made an offer will normally be invited to the UCAS pre-offer visit day. The programme of the day includes a trip to our Stoke Bishop halls of residence, with a tour around Bristol and Clifton, lunch and a School tour with our current undergraduates, and a small-group mock tutorial/discussion with an academic member of staff. We hope that visiting us will provide an insight into every aspect of student life here at the School of Physics as the day is designed to help you find out what Bristol is like and to give you plenty of opportunity to talk to students, staff and the Physics admissions team, and ask questions.
In 2013/14 UCAS pre-offer visit days take place on Thursdays throughout November, December, January, February and March. The day starts at 11:30 am with registration and will usually be finished by 4:30 pm. Please see below for our current availability and to keep an eye out for any additional dates we will add in the future. Please be aware that due to a high volume of applications we will only open a few days at a time, so make sure you get your name down before all the spaces go!
Before you arrived for our visit day, please download the printable leaflet below specially designed for each course. This leaflet will tell you what to expect on the day. Any questions please follow the link to our applicant questions and answers page where you can find details on maps, travel, parking, accommodation and much more.

Please note that although it is sometimes possible to show individual prospective students around the school, such visits must be arranged in advance, giving as much notice as possible. Please email Anona.Williams@bristol.ac.uk for more information.
