Our professional services staff
Your role within the School of Physics will give you the opportunity to learn new skills. We offer our staff a wide range of training opportunities from line management, project management, influencing and committee servicing courses and also fund our staff to extend external courses. We also encourages staff to consider whether a flexible working arrangement may enable them to improve their work-life balance or allow them to care for a child or relative. We already have a wide range of arrangements in place, including compressed hours, fractional appointments and working from home arrangements.
We have specific support in place to help our academics and research staff pursue their career and rsearch goals. We offer a wide range of assistance from funding and commercialisaiton to public engagement, as well as staff development training and courses tailored for researchers.
