PARIP 2003 NATIONAL CONFERENCE: 11-14 September KRELL:
MARY AGNES This presentation explores questions of authenticity, legitimacy and research in digital media. It uses interactive work by Forced Entertainment including, 'Nightwalks' and 'Frozen Palaces' to explore research within the digital media artefact. Using these and other pieces to investigate research within practice, I seek to offer possible new models for the documentation of research in and as creative digital media. Mary Agnes Krell is a Lecturer in Media Practice and Theory at the University of Sussex and an associate member of Forced Entertainment (as a digital author). With Forced Entertainment, she has authored the interactive pieces, 'Nightwalks', 'Spin', 'Frozen Palaces', and 'Imaginary Evidence', among other works. She has been actively engaged in exploring the boundaries between creative practice, research and commercial work over the last ten years.
