Professor Nishan Canagarajah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said: “I would like to congratulate all winners and I am delighted to see so many companies joining us at graduation to help celebrate success by awarding prizes. This investment demonstrates the high level of interest and regard that engineering and technology companies hold for Faculty students.”

The University’s Faculty of Engineering has a long history of engaging productively with industry and this on-going work will ensure that the Faculty remains at the cutting edge of industrially relevant research and education.

Companies who sponsored the prizes included: Arup, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bechtel, Boeing, Crown Packaging, Deloitte, Detica, Emerson Control Techniques, GE, GKN, Hays, Infineon, Mubaloo, Reaction Engines, Renishaw, Sequans, SN Systems, Texas Instruments, Toshiba and XMOS, as well as representatives from some of the relevant professional bodies including the Institution of Civil Engineering (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and many attended the graduation ceremonies to present the prizes to the students.
