4 December 2012

Proposals to enhance and extend some University buildings on Priory Road and to refurbish teaching and administration space on Tyndall’s Park Road will be on public display in Senate House from Friday 7 December to Thursday 20 December.

Proposals to enhance and extend some of the University’s educational buildings on Priory Road and to refurbish teaching and administration space on Tyndall’s Park Road will be on public display in the foyer of Senate House from Friday 7 December to Thursday 20 December.

The proposals, which represent the first stage of plans for a wider enhancement of the Priory Road area, will form the basis of a more detailed scheme due to be drawn up in the coming weeks.

An initial phase of development is currently in progress to help meet the University’s immediate teaching needs. This involves refurbishment of the Language Centre at 30-32 Tyndalls Park Road in order to improve and modernise the teaching space and associated offices. Options are also being explored to design and build a new auditorium/lecture theatre in the rear garden of 30-32 Tyndalls Park Road which would connect through to the Priory Road complex.
