Bristol brains featured in Venue

An article in this week’s Venue magazine which aimed to “track down the cleverest people” in Bristol and Bath, featured ten members of University of Bristol staff.

An article in this week’s Venue magazine which aimed to “track down the cleverest people” in Bristol and Bath, featured ten members of University of Bristol staff.

They were:

· Professor Brian Conrey, mathematician working on the Reimann Hypothesis

· Professor Len Fisher, Visiting Fellow in Physics

· Professor Nigel Franks, expert on the behaviour and ecology of ants  

· Professor Jean Golding, founder of the Children of the 90s study

· Professor Ronald Hutton, historian and author of ‘The Druids: A History’

· Professor Joe McGeehan, inventor of the mobile phone

· Dr Hinke Osinga, mathematician working on chaos theory

· Dr Alice Roberts, anatomist and TV presenter

· Professor Neil Scolding, neurologist developing stem cell therapies for MS patients

· Dr Neil Taylor, rocket scientist developing the Skylon spaceplane.
