Physicists from the University will be bringing their expertise to the public next week, when they join At-Bristol to discuss the world of particle physics, the Big Bang, and what the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) might tell us about them.
  • On 11 November, the Science Café series will hold a discussion, led by Dr Helen Heath, Reader in Teaching and Learning – Physics (who has been working on the LHC project), on the Big Bang, and ask whether recreating the conditions a billionth of a second after the Big Bang could reveal the secrets of our Universe. The event takes place at At-Bristol, which opens at 7:30pm for an 8pm start. For more information, please see the Science Café website.
  • From 13 to 15 November, members of the University’s Particle Physics Group will be on hand all day at the Big Bang Exhibition, At-Bristol, to further illuminate the particle world and answer questions about the LHC. For more information, please see the At-Bristol events page.
