ERIC launches children's competition

25 January 2007

The Vice-Chancellor is Patron of Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence (ERIC) - which has launched a competition for children. Design a character, and maybe Aardman will animate the result!

It may have escaped your notice that Professor Eric Thomas, the Vice-Chancellor, is Patron of a charity that happens to go by the acronym ERIC (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence).

The charity has launched a competition for children - to design a character that represents ERIC (the charity, not the Vice-Chancellor). The winning design will be developed by Aardman Animations, who are also providing a prize.

The competition is open to children aged between five and 18 years. If you (or, rather, any children of your acquaintance) are interested, you can download a competition leaflet (PDF, 15Kb) and an entry form (PDF, 42Kb). For more information on the organisation's work, visit the ERIC website.
