Staff and students are invited to join the University Choral Society, which will perform George Dyson's oratorio The Canterbury Pilgrims in early 2007.

Composed in 1930, The Canterbury Pilgrims is a colourful and exciting work which enjoyed enormous success for many years, but is now sadly neglected.

The performance will take place at the Victoria Rooms on Saturday 17 March with a distinguished team of soloists, supported by the University Symphony Orchestra. The conductor this year is Glyn Jenkins.

All staff and students are welcome to join – there are NO auditions.

Rehearsals take place at the Victoria Rooms every Thursday evening during term time from 6.00 to 7.30 pm (starting 12 October). You can enrol in advance at the Music Department's Study and Resource Centre (first floor, Victoria Rooms) during office hours (from Monday, 2nd October) – or just arrive early before the first rehearsal in the Auditorium, Victoria Rooms.

The cost of the score is £10.00.
