Keith Warner awarded Honorary DMus
21 July 2017
At a degree congregation on 19 July 2017, the University of Bristol appointed the distinguished opera director Keith Warner to an Honorary Doctorate in Music. Dr. Warner is one of the most distinguished opera directors in the world; his production of Wagner’s The Ring of the Nibelung at the Royal Opera is now the longest-running production of The Ring in the Royal Opera’s history. Keith Warner read Drama and English at Bristol, beginning his directing career with the University Opera Society and graduating in 1978. We are absolutely delighted to welcome him back as one of our distinguished honorary graduates.
